Opened recently this course is earning a reputation for its player enjoyment. Laid out on mainly undulating land the course offers pleasant views both to the Atlantic Ocean and the hills of the Serra do Caldeirão. Players accuracy is particularly called upon by the architects retention of as many of the old trees as feasible.' These natural obstacles coupled with strategic placed bunkers and occasional water hazards make the course a worthwhile challenge.

This course was selected as the Best Maintained Course for 2001 by the Portuguese Golf Federation.
